HOW I STAY ENERGISED.
What’s the meaning of life? What’s my next destination?
What’s for dinner?
I was raised as an explorer and an adventurer; while my friends were doing all the usual things little girls do...I was doing things a little different.
Not for me, the world of dolls, sleepovers and boy band crushes. I was busy hiking, camping, exploring and learning as much as I possibly could about the natural world. I grew up listening to my father’s stories about faraway lands and foreign cultures, and as I grew older, I was inspired to see if all the stories were true.
So...travelling the world on a shoestring budget, I began to discover that it was in fact all true; a natural world full of wonder and inspiration was out there, a world I wanted to experience and share with like minded souls.
And so my adventure began, after studying Animal Behaviour and Conservation at Oxford and turning my back on a normal existence (whatever one of those actually is) I decided to explore until the day arrives when I no longer can. So far I’ve taken in around 55 countries, a drop in the ocean with so much more to see and experience.
You might wonder what is important to me. Is it just the travelling, the sense of adventure that comes with a life less ordinary?
My answer would be this; travelling around the world is a unique and amazing experience but to do that to just lie on a beach? That’s just not me...
There is a natural world to explore, much of it threatened, and a less beaten path that lies just beyond your comfort zone, along with unique and interesting ways to travel. So give me an active lifestyle and adventure over a sun kissed beach any day.
Part of the attraction of Reon for me, is their ethos of plant-based natural supplements that are suitable for vegans. We all need supplements from time to time, and maintaining a healthy and natural balance while travelling, especially through different time zones makes a world of difference, trust me...I know from experience.
Fruit and nuts can also help keep your energy levels up, and the fibre is great as well for keeping that balance when your body is used to going to sleep, but in your current time zone it’s 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Oh...and wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, you did bring a bottle of water right?
See you out in the big, wide, beautiful world.
